Blue Light... It's been under the spot light lately. Here is the clear picture... and a special discount!

Blue light? 📱💡Is it good or bad? Here is what you need to know:

The problem with Blue light is not it’s color it’s, it’s timing. Blue light at the wrong time of day can be harmful to the body because it signals it to be “ON” when it should it be “OFF”.

While the negative effects of Blue light have become well publicised, it is not the only type of light to watch out for. Green light is also to be avoided at night because it can have the same negative effects.

🚫Harmful effects of Blue (& Green) light:
  • Quality and quantity of our sleep!
  • Obesity
  • Heart disease
  • Brain changes
  • Depression
  • Thyroid issues

Not all Blue & Green light is bad however. The greatest amount of Blue light in our daily life actually comes from the Sun. As a natural occurring energy blue light has some benefits. In fact the best thing you can do to combat a night of bad sleep or no sleep is to get more sunlight the next day especially between 6-8 AM. What this does is lower your levels of Insulin and cortisol that were jacked up because of the lack of sleep. Now you will mitigate the fat gaining and muscle waisting effects of lack of sleep. To go the extra mile make sure your breakfast that next morning is not carb based but mostly protein. So steak and eggs not cereal or oatmeal!

✅ Benefits of Blue light:
  • Aids in staying alert
  • Helps us wake up
  • Helps memory and cognitive function
  • Elevates mood
  • Regulates circadian rhythm

What should you do?

  • 🌞 In the morning, especially between 6-8am take in as much sunlight as possible.

  • 🧣 During the day if you are an office worker with a computer, cover your neck with a or scarf. This will protect your Thyroid gland from over exposer to Blue light.

  • 📴 In the evening, turn off all Blue light emitting devices at least an hour before you go to bed, so your brain gets a break from the blue light, which can make you want to stay awake!

  • 👓 When buying blue light blocking glasses make sure that they specifically eliminate 100% of blue and green light in the 400nm to 550nm range. Like BON CHARGE (Formerly BLUBlox) This is the exact range that has been shown in clinical trials to disrupt melatonin and negatively impact your sleep.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣Just use this link above!

  • We recommend the Blue Light Blocking Glasses “Red” glasses for 100% Blue & Green light blocking that will improve your sleep, and overall health greatly. If you only bought 1 pair it should be these. You can watch TV, look at your phone etc, and still sleep great!

  • If you are work under artificial light or are looking at a screen all day then you may want to try the Computer Glasses “Clear” computer glasses. They reduce digital eye strain, headaches, lower stress and leave your eyes feeling refreshed
