For the average person, you still want to have a social life, and don't want to swear off the stuff completely...well, because it's fun!

What can help you to stay lean AND have fun?⁣ ⁣ Here are some tips to keep this often overlooked part of your nutrition in its place and keep the good times flowing in and out of the gym.⁣ ⁣

🥃 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆. No cheap drinks! You’re eating good whole foods and well prepared dishes. Why go cheap on your liquor? Keep it classy. Keep it on a high level. You’ll slow yourself down when you start thinking about the bill.⁣ ⁣

🥃 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹. You know alcohol has extra calories. So make room for them. If you decide to drink, it's never after a workout. Instead, if it’s friday and you know you want to drink with friends that night, try working out in the morning that day. Avoid needless drinking in the middle of the week when you may have some of your most intense workout sessions. ⁣ ⁣

🥃 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗔 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲. Make sure to set a cut off time for all drinking. That way you don’t let your partying spill over onto the next day… or week. You’ll be able to dampen the effects of alcohol on your sleep and recovery. ⁣
