Bracing your core is super important for increasing your performance as an athlete or just fixing low back pain.
Dr Stuart McGill @backfitpro has coined this phrase as an excellent cue on how to protect your spine during big lifts and normal activity.
Since all movement originates from the core, you could say it's the foundation of exercise. You should brace before any exercise.
